Hello Sailing World,
West Coast Sailing recently brought me on board to help out with some of the more creative tasks here at the store. Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Tom Miron and I’ve been sailing since I was seven, when my parents bought their first boat. I began sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and attended Annapolis Sailing School where I first sailed a dinghy. Later my family moved to California and we began sailing on the San Francisco Bay as well as the Delta.
I came to Portland for college and started racing with the Portland State Sailing Team. I’ve been racing dinghies for the last five years and my current boat of choice is the Tasar. Although, I haven't forgotten my keelboat roots. I currently live on a 26’ Columbia on Hayden Island.
After graduating with a degree in graphic design my focus has been on sailing and design, so it seemed like a perfect fit when George asked me to come help out at WCS. Finding a job that combines your passions is always a difficult thing, and I feel pretty lucky to have landed this one.
When 'm not sailing, I enjoy brewing beer and snowboarding. Below is some work I have done in the past. Leave some comments and let me know what you think and what you’d like to see on the blog or website in the future.
I will be updating our Facebook and Twitter accounts so be sure to add WCS as a friend.
