Cold Weather Sailing
This entry was posted on 11/09/2011.
Thinking about continuing your sailing into the late Autumn and Winter months? Wearing appropriate cold weather gear is the key to extending your season and feeling comfortable on chilly days. We carry a great selection of neoprene and thermal tops and bottoms to suit a variety of sailing conditions. High School and Collegiate dinghy sailors looking for added warmth under spray gear might consider Gill's i3 base layer series, a micro fleece 1/4 zip top and pants available in both men's and women's styles. The Ronstan Thermal Top is also a great piece to add to your kit that won't break the bank.
For the Laser and Skiff sailors, we have neoprene and microfleece tops and leggings from Zhik, SEA, and Ronstan. As in many cold weather activities, remember that layering is important and wearing the appropriate pieces of gear will keep you warm and comfortable so that you can focus on that next wind shift and sailing your best. Unsure which pieces are right for you? Give our team a call or send an email and we will be happy to help you select the perfect cold weather sailing gear.
