Our warehouse is located in Portland, Oregon, home to a small but vibrant river sailing community. The local junior program produces some of the finest sailors in the Pacific Northwest, and our two rivers are home to many sailors who are competitive on both the national and international levels in both dinghies and keelboats. Additionally, Portland lies within a two-hour drive from every other outdoor activity you could dream of.

Fulfillment Assistant

The Fulfillment Assistant ensures that customers’ orders are fulfilled promptly and safely. Primary responsibilities include processing online, phone, email and post-event sales to deliver products to customers in a timely and economical fashion. The Fulfillment Assistant works under the direction of the Fulfillment Leader and also works closely with the sales and customer service teams. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • - Process orders from the web-store, phone, email, and post-event sales through the order management and shipping system
  • - Process payments and make all shipping and sales adjustments to orders prior to shipment
  • - Pick, invoice, pack and ship orders in a timely and safe manner
  • - Work to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines
  • - Assist in receiving inventory and returns and help maintain an accurate inventory
  • - Keep showroom, backstock and clearance area organized
  • - Works with the Fulfillment Leader to receive and re-stock inventory, update labeling and perform regular inventory cycle counts
  • - Works with the Customer Support Team to fulfill backorders
  • - Works with Fulfillment Leader to receive Drop Ship POs and Customer Notifications in a timely manner
  • - May help with numbering sails and other tasks as needed

 

The Fulfillment Assistant should be an efficient worker with a good attention to detail. They must be able to work independently and meet regular shipping deadlines while ensuring the product is delivered to the customer in a safe and timely fashion.

 

Prerequisites:

  • - High-school diploma preferred
  • - Ability to lift 80lbs
  • - Possess strong computer skills
  • - Prior warehouse experience processing orders in a fulfillment environment preferred
  • - Sailing experience and good knowledge of small sailboat parts and equipment would be of benefit

 

  • - Full time Permanent – Mon-Fri with opportunity for occasional weekend work
  • - Employer-sponsored health care, paid time off/sick time and holiday leave available after 90 days
  • - Wholesale pricing on sailing gear, parts, boats
  • - Compensation up to $14/hour, DOE
