Description

Help keep your Laser / ILCA daggerboard in place with the original M brake. This M shaped (or W, depending on your perspective) rubber piece is mounted to the deck just aft of the daggerboard trunk and designed to make light contact with the daggerboard to provide some friction. When used in conjunction with a daggerboard retaining line or bungee (which puts pressure forward on the board), you can keep your board in the right position. These are inexpensive and may turn brittle over time, but an easy item to replace every few seasons.

  • Rubber brake for Laser / ILCA daggerboard
  • Class legal fitting from class approved builder.
  • Adjustable pressure on the dagger board by moving the brake fore and aft.
  • Use with a daggerboard retainer / bungee / shockcord for best results.
