Replacement sail for the Laser® Standard (also known as 'full' rig). Ideal for training and recreational use, the sail material sail is similar to what is used on class legal racing sails but slightly heavier for longer life. This is a quality training sail with a better shape than lower cost options. Features a large view window and includes a set of battens and a folded sail bag for your convenience.

Training Sails Do Not Include Numbers or Installation
Purchase sail numbers separately and West Coast Sailing will install them at no additional charge. We recommend 12 inch Euro Pre Cut Sail Numbers for Standard (ILCA 7) and Radial (ILCA 6) training sails. Add the appropriate individual sail numbers to your cart (ie, for 201092, add 2x Red '2', 2x Red '0', 2x Black '1', 2x Black '0', 2x Black '9' and 2x Black '2') and leave an order comment. Our Free Sail Numbers & Installation offer is valid on class-legal racing sails only.
Tuning Guide:
The radial cut standard sail does not use the same set up as the original cross cut sail. It is actually similar to the radial (5.7 - the radial), in that it requires lots more vang/kicker tension to bring the fullness back away from the luff. I have heard that lighter sailors have got away with a very flat sail on flat water using their outhaul. This sail is also quite powerful. The leach stands for longer than the original cross cut, which would work well on inland waters. Those who have been the happiest when changing to the new official raidial cut sail have been in the heavier weight range.
This is the standard / full rig size sail with a radial cut, not the radial size sail. You can find the Radial Sail version by clicking here.
Replacement parts are high quality fittings that perform the same as the parts originally supplied by the boat manufacturer. They do not bear the Laser® registered trademark and are therefore not class approved for racing, but are a great alternative for recreational sailing, programs, or training. Please consult class rules, your local fleet, or regatta NOR documents if you have questions or concerns about specific parts.

Returns can be made within 366 days (1 year + 1 day) of your original order date.
