The Bruce Farr designed Megabyte is one of those dinghies that does everything just right. This dinghy has a single, powerful 100 sq. ft. main carried on a marvelously, light, flexible carbon fiber mast.
This dinghy is great for the heavier single handed sailor who wants a exciting and fast alternative to the laser. This boat is specifically designed for larger sailers who weight approximately 225 lbs. This boat can also be double handed with crew weight anywhere from 200-400 lbs

  • The cockpit is wide and deep with perfectly beveled sides allowing the sailor to hike or sit inboard in maximum comfort.
  • The boat plains easily, upwind and down.
  • The full amidships traveler, powerful vang, Cunningham and outhaul on the flexible mast means that the lighter sailer can easily de-power the boat and handle higher wind conditions.
  • The outhaul, vang, and Cunningham controls are led to each side of the cockpit for ease of reach.
