The Flying Junior is a fixture of institutional sailing. While the FJ isn't the most modern sailboat in the world, it IS a tough, agile performer with or without a spinnaker. More collegiate sailing teams in North America sail the Club FJ than any other double-handed sailboat. There are over 900 FJ sailboats in club programs today, in addition to more than 100 active boats in college fleets.
