Simple to rig, easy to sail with a combination of comfort and stability not common in small cats. With no daggerboard sticking into the water, launching and docking is easy. The amazingly tough rotomolded polyethylene hulls are virtually indestructible and require basically no maintenance. A large, fully battened, mainsail (without needing a boom) provides plenty of power without being complicated.
The Hobie Wave will move fast in a breeze, but it never feels unstable. It's equally appealing for one person to blast around on a windy day as it is for some friends to pile on and enjoy a ride!
